Sabato 6 agosto 2022 alle ore 20 verrà inaugurata la mostra “Zenit” di Enrico Minguzzi a cura di Lorenzo Belli allo Spazio Cappella Marchi presso la Chiesa della Madonna del Carmine di Serravezza(LU).
Questo è il terzo appuntamento per l’anno corrente delle mostre organizzate da Alkedo aps nella caratteristica cappella barocca, di proprietà del comune di Seravezza, dove l’arte contemporanea si sposa con gli interni della storico sito versiliese.
Minguzzi è un artista al confine tra figurazione e astrazione che non prende spunto da un confronto diretto con l’oggetto ma compone il suo immaginario per sovrapposizioni di veli, trasparenti e sottili strati di colore, tracciando un processo di proliferazione di forme sospese tra la germinazione e la moltiplicazione esponenziale dei frattali. La pratica manuale, l’intuizione gestuale e la tecnica sono elementi fondamentali del suo modus operandi.
La mostra Zenit prende il nome da quel punto immaginario dell’astronomia osservativa che è intersezione tra il punto dell’osservatore e la sfera celeste e prende spunto dalla genesi costruttiva del luogo, lo spazio Cappella Marchi, che è stato realizzato sull’asse delle coordinate geografiche del luogo.
Nelle opere esposte l’artista romagnolo ipotizza un microcosmo organico dove crescono nuove aggregazioni di materia come nuove forme di vita e sembra interrogare l’osservatore su questo tipo di percezione, sulla trasformazione e sulla metamorfosi.
Con Zenit, la sua prima scultura realizzata in materiali compositi, le forme che prima erano fissate sulla tela si fanno materia come una concrezione che dal basso tende a salire verso il cielo. E’ questa ricerca verso l’infinito il suo universo tematico, questa costante ricerca di equilibrio delle forme che sembra fondere anche cromaticamente con la ricerca dei 4 elementi: acqua, aria, terra e fuoco, dappertutto forze si aggiungono e si compensano come cause ed effetti che meccanicamente si incatenano.
Nelle due tele in mostra, “Levante” e “Ponente”, il groviglio di forme prende vita come un paesaggio interiore che sembra sul punto di dilatarsi sprigionando tutta la sua energia.
Come sottolinea il curatore ”Minguzzi definisce le forme ma spetta a noi adattarci, vivere l’immensità delle sue composizioni, decifrare le forme come fossero nuvole plasmate dal vento. Lo spazio interiore aperto, così definito, sconvolge tutti i concetti dimensionali. Per noi non c’è più sistema di proporzioni o scala di riferimento e dobbiamo noi osservatori sottometterci all’interpretazione dopo che l’artista ci ha aperto le porte della sua dimensione.”

Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 8 p.m. will be the opening of Enrico Minguzzi’s “Zenit” exhibition curated by Lorenzo Belli at Spazio Cappella Marchi at the Church of the Madonna del Carmine in Serravezza(LU).
This is the third event for the current year of exhibitions organized by Alkedo aps in the characteristic Baroque chapel, owned by the municipality of Seravezza, where contemporary art marries with the interiors of the historic Versilia site.
Minguzzi is an artist on the borderline between figuration and abstraction who does not take his cue from a direct confrontation with the object but composes his imagery by superimpositions of veils, transparencies and thin layers of color, tracing a process of proliferation of forms suspended between the germination and exponential multiplication of fractals. Manual practice, gestural intuition and technique are fundamental elements of his modus operandi.
The exhibition Zenit takes its name from that imaginary point in observational astronomy that is the intersection between the observer’s point and the celestial sphere, and takes its cue from the constructive genesis of the place, the Cappella Marchi space, which was made on the axis of the geographical coordinates of the place.
In the works on display, the Romagnolo artist hypothesizes an organic microcosm where new aggregations of matter grow as new forms of life and seems to question the viewer about this kind of perception, transformation and metamorphosis.
With Zenit, his first sculpture made of composite materials, the forms that were previously fixed on the canvas become matter like a concretion that tends to rise from below to the sky. It is this quest toward the infinite that is his thematic universe, this constant search for balance of forms that he seems to merge even chromatically with the search for the 4 elements: water, air, earth and fire, everywhere forces add up and compensate as causes and effects mechanically chaining.
In the two canvases in the exhibition, “Levante” and “Ponente,” the tangle of forms comes to life as an inner landscape that seems on the verge of expanding releasing all its energy.
As the curator points out, “Minguzzi defines the forms but it is up to us to adapt, to experience the immensity of his compositions, to decipher the forms as if they were clouds shaped by the wind. The open interior space, thus defined, disrupts all dimensional concepts. For us, there is no longer any system of proportion or scale of reference, and we observers must submit to interpretation after the artist has opened the doors of his dimension to us.”
